The Moe Township supervisors have donated this unique stage curtain to the Brandon History Center. Instead of the usual stage curtains we see, this was designed especially for the Moe Town Hall some time in the 1940s and was recently taken down because it was deteriorating. Since the mechanism that rolls it up and down is not working any longer, the History Center members removed the curtain from the mechanism and repaired it so that it can be hung for display on special occasions and for easier storage when not in use. Most of the businesses on the curtain were/are from the Brandon area. The historic Moe Town Hall is located just off County Road 7 on Moe Hall Road. This unique piece of history will be on display at the Brandon Auditorium during Brandon's Summerfest celebration the first week end of August. It will be hanging among the beautiful hand made quilts in the auditorium.
