Photos taken by Brandon Photographer A.M. Thompson

Photos taken in the A.M. Thompson ground floor studio.
Wonder where that studio might have been.

Wonder who these little folks are in this photo.

Wonder what year this might have been.

150 years of Finnish immigrant settlement in America

Greg Isola, an independent Finnish researcher, presented a program at the Historic Brandon Auditorium on Saturday, October 22nd.  The subject was about the arrival of Finns in Moe Township, Douglas County.  This program was to commemorate 150 years of Finnish immigrant settlement in America.

A  special thanks goes to the Brandon Fire Department for the use of their audio and video equipment!

The gals from the Brandon History Center served many authentic Finnish treats like Mantelikakku, Hilman Kakku, Murokakku, Omena Sokerikakku, which were enjoyed by all.
