Leadership Alexandria Visits the Brandon History Center
On Tuesday October 8th the members of the Leadership Alexandria visited the Brandon History Center on their annual History Day Tour of Douglas County. They spent 45 minutes touring the Historic Brandon Auditorium and the Brandon History Center rooms. The upstairs room is full of historical displays and our US Veteran display. The office on the main level is full of family files, family history books, Brandon School group graduation pictures, history of local businesses, books by local authors, and our office operation. 6th Grade Social Class visits the Brandon History Center
Today Mr. Martinson of the Brandon/Evansville School brought the 6th grade Social Class to visit the Brandon History Center. It was a bright shining day for the walk from the school to the history center.

Charlie Schelin Building turned into "Teen Center"
In the early 80s the old Charlie Schelin building was turned into a "Teen Center" for a short time. This newspaper clipping came from the Record in March of 1981.

Brandon Summerfest is Coming really soon.
On Saturday Ausust 3rd at the Brandon Auditorium, the Brandon History Center will be presenting a display of old Brandon calendars. This is the last peek that we will give as to what you will be able to see there. Visit us in our main floor office to see the video about the Historic Brandon Auditorium. Visit our up-stairs area and view our many historic displays. We will be open from 11 AM - 3 PM, except during the parade.
