Remembering Flag Day June 14, 1987 at Chippewa Park

Thirty-three years ago on June 14th was the big Chippewa Park Fun Festival.  The event was held to raise money to purchase the land from Delores and Hillard Nelson.  Douglas County Park Dept became the new owners.  They have done a wonderful job taking care of the park since then.  Every year there are new improvements with more still to come. The Brandon History Center has more information on this subject.
