Fort Abercrombie Trail
These new signs, which were put up recently, are part of the Glacial Trail project. There are three in our immediate area. The first is located at the east end of Hunt Lake Road and CR 16. The second is East Abercrombie Trail and Stowe Lake Road. The third is on CR 5 just inside the city limits of Evansville's east side. The other two are farther south of us. One is on the Oscar Lake Church property in the parking lot. The other sign is at the "T" of CR 7 and CR 96, which is the road that runs in front of the Original Oscar Lake Cemetery.

Some items recently donated to the Brandon History Center from the John Esala family. It is so wonderful to get these items from our past to have on display for everyone to see and enjoy.
Wonderful old pictures from all over Douglas County
Many business places used to give out gifts at Christmas each year. These utencils appeared to have been well used.
Have seen this picture before, but never with all of the names on the back.
Ruth Esala was very wise to not only put on the names, but also the date of
July 1910.
Have always heard about the radion books, but have never actually seen one before.
As a child I remember my mother saving up her sugar ration stamps so that she could bake a wedding cake for my oldest sister.
