Millerville Sportsmen Club Stock Walleye Fingerlings

The Millerville Sportsmen Club with matching funds from the Viking Sportsmen Club and a permit from the Minnesota DNR Fisheries, stocked 113 pounds of fingerlings into Lake Moses and 112 pounds into Lake Aaron.  They ran about 35 fish to a pound.  Bosek Bait of Garfield provided the fingerlings.  Club members present were Norbert Korkowski and Bob & Randy Habberts.  Other projects that the Club is involved with are: Pheasant release and feeding deer and pheasants during bad winters.  Members plant food plots for wildlife.  The Club has three certified Gun Safety Instructors that teach gun safety.  The Club pays the students fees and also gives a gun away at the completion of the course to one lucky student.  The Club  pays for portable toilets on both the Lake Moses and Lake Aaron public accesses and also pay for the night light on the Lake Aaron access.  It also helps support other area sportsmen clubs and donate to UFFDA( United Foundation for Disables Archers): donate to the Brandon-Evansville High School Trap Shooting Team which placed first in their conference and 16th at the State Tournament plus other projects.  The club meets 7:30 p.m. the third Tuesday of each month at the Millerville Fire Hall.  We thank all who support our club.  Feel free to join us and share in our activities.
